It was good day yesterday. Going on a walk, I saw something smallish scuttling across the path a few metres in front of me. I thought it must either be a rat or a hedgehog and, in my mind, seeing either of those things makes a good day. I turned out to be a hedgehog but sadly it was only 200g and out in daylight, which is obviously a red flag. It's a difficult time for hedgehogs in the colder months, if they are too small they won't survive the winter. Luckily there are places around where I live that will take hedgehogs in and look after them for the winter and so we took him down there. Anyway, meeting him was great and he tried to crawl up my sleeve at one point.
